When in training the SLCC race crew enjoy extended distance practices which focus on a faster pace and longer stroke.
We work hard to build endurance and keep in sync. Occasionally workshops are offered and paddlers who intend on racing are encouraged to participate.
Its advised to take part in additional strength training and cardio building activities outside the club to assist in getting the most from these practices.
Practicing, and travelling together as a team is a deeply rewarding experience and we are always looking for new additions to the crew. If you have a competitive nature and enjoy being on the water this may be for you!
