SLCC Race Events

Sproat lake is a magical place to paddle, with pristine waters, wildlife in abundance and lots of elbow room, so add it to your bucket list and join us for some fun!

Battleship Iron 2019 

September 21st, 2019

BOATS: OC6 

DISTANCE: Jr. & Novice 12 km, the rest of you, 27 km

FEES: Jr. & Novice  $75.00 per team

The rest of you $125.00 per team

COURSE: long course leaves Sproat Lake Provincial Park Overflow beach through Klehkoot (Faber) Arm around Eagle Point and up Taylor Arm past Battleship Island to reef and back. Short course follows similar start, turns round at buoy and back. 

ADDITIONAL: All racers must have CORA memberships in good standing, Ages will be verified for divisions, and Canoes to be divided into regular and unlimited classes if applicable. All CORA rules and guidelines as per most recent race

rules, to be followed.

​PRIZES: will be 1st-3rd per division and will highlight local artisans in the community.​

Two Rivers Iron CANCELLED

BOATS:  SMALL BOATS - OC1, OC2, Kayak, SurfSki, SUP

DISTANCE: 12 km

FEES: Jr. & Novice $13.00 

           The rest $25.00 

COURSE: Boats leave Sproat Lake Provincial Park Overflow beach through Klehkoot (Faber) Arm, Past Vanderbilt Island to the mouth of Two Rivers Arm and back.

ADDITIONAL: All racers must have CORA memberships in good standing, Ages will be verified for divisions. All CORA rules and guidelines as per most recent race rules, to be followed

PRIZES: will be 1st-3rd per division and will highlight local artisans in the community.
